Free Spoon Before He Serves 50 Years In Prison Compilation
Thanks for your interest in submitting a song to the Free Spoon Before He Serves 50 Years In Prison Compilation, herein after referred to as "Compilation."
Technical guidelines:
- Your song must be delivered to furiojoven[at]gmail[dot]com as a .wav file by September 1, 2026.
- In addition to your song, I will need:
- lyrics (if applicable)
- a short description of the song (what inspired it? what is the emotion you want to convey?). Keep it simple.
- credits: who recorded it, played on it, mixed it, etc.
- (optional): photo of you or some art that goes with the song
- Your song cannot contain samples unless they are cleared.
- I am already working on a song called "Free Spoon" - so I ask that you don't make a song called that!
- You can submit multiple songs, but only one will be chosen for Compilation.
Artistic guidelines:
- The song can be instrumental, a poem recorded, a full on rock n roll song, a rap, etc. Get creative!
- No need to tie DIRECTLY into Spoon's story - but it should have some kind of LOOSE TIE IN to his story or a theme that you find within it.
- If you haven't yet, I recommend listening to Spoon's album No Moon, composed by Nicolas Snyder.
- No Moon creators Spoon and Nicolas have agreed to allow Compilation contributors a free license to use stems for one song of their choice. Contributors may also use stems to remix a song from No Moon.
- Any use of stems will be strictly for use of Compilation. Any use of stems outside of Compilation is prohibited and under the ownership discretion of Spoon Jackson and Nicolas Snyder.
- To access stems or an instrumental from a No Moon track, email me.
Other info:
- This is a 100% volunteer effort. I am not doing this as an employee of FREER Records, though FREER World (FR's distribution/publishing-only wing) may end up distributing this album when it comes out. Still, all work is volunteer on my end.
- That said, I do not have a budget to pay anyone for their submission.
